Everyday life is commonly characterised as uncomplicated and routine. But some everyday lives are experienced in prisons and conflict zones, or are shaped by colonisation, repression, or marginalisation. This Masterclass will explore challenging forms of everyday heritage and history, and how we interpret and manage them in the present. It provides an opportunity for postgraduate students and early career researchers to meet and discuss their research with distinguished scholars. Over a morning masterclass, participants will give short presentations, followed by responses and discussions in a supportive environment.

Total attendance will be no more than 15 to allow for a relaxed, informal atmosphere. The Masterclass will end with a 60-minute tour of Fremantle Prison.
